About Ocean Beach Knits

Ocean Beach is where San Francisco meets the sea. It’s famous for big waves, thick fogs, and the occasional brilliantly clear day. It’s home to world-class surfers, free-spirits, and other romantics who love it for being San Francisco’s own surf town. Ocean Beach Knits is inspired by this often foggy, always cool, moody, beautiful, unforgettable place.

Anne Johnson is originally from Portland, Oregon and was drawn to Ocean Beach’s gray dampness as it reminded her of home. She lives at the beach with her husband, her son and her goofy yellow lab, Cash. She’s a social worker at the San Francisco VA Medical Center, and can knit almost anywhere.

A portion of the profits goes to fund hats made for the neonatal unit at San Francisco General Hospital.
